Extrusion

Extrusion is a process used to create objects with a defined and fixed cross section.
The material is pushed or drawn through an extrusion die in the desired cross section.
The two main advantages of this process over manufactured processes are the ability to create very complex cross-sections with materials that are brittle, because the material only finds compressive and shearing forces.
Also the end pieces are formed with an excellent surface finish.
Extrusion may be continuous (theoretically producing long materials indefinitely) or in batches (producing many parts). The extrusion process may be done with hot or cold material.
The experience of our technicians allows us develop, to drawings, the manufacture of punches of any diameter, length and tolerance.
